Proven Solution
InnoPath’s Mobile Activate has been proven at Tata DoCoMo, the fastest growing GSM operator in the world, with close to four million new subscribers per month. These new subscribers generate over 200,000 provisioning events daily, all successfully processed by the ActiveCare server. Mobile Detect, responsible for filtering raw triggers across the network, is capable of processing the more than 2.5 million ‘Check IMEI’ events experienced in the busiest of hours. The system is also capable of effectively identifying and filtering fake and duplicate IMEIs, as well as properly handling subscribers with multiple SIMs and devices, or devices used by multiple subscribers.

Maximizing Opportunity in the Golden Hour
As part of data service provisioning, the subscriber is presented with a welcome message via SMS or MMS describing the new service. This message may also include a look into other services that the operator offers. The first hour that the subscriber is on the network is often called “The Golden Hour”. The operator has a unique opportunity to foster service discovery, as there is no time like when the subscriber has just unboxed a new device to get them hooked on sticky, high ARPU services. However, the “Golden Hour” also presents challenges as everything has to work right the first time, every time.
